Who is responsible
Scorpx for Trading and Supply (“we”) is responsible for the personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
When you send us a question, a price-list request or a sourcing request, we collect your name and email, and whatever else you choose to give us: company name, phone number, country, the products and quantities you are interested in, your message and any files you attach. For security and visitor statistics we process technical data such as your IP address and browser type. Our statistics do not store IP addresses: we keep only a one-way hash that changes every day.
Why we use it
To answer you, prepare and send price lists, arrange samples and orders, and protect the website against abuse. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Legal basis
We process what you send us to take steps you asked for before a possible contract, and technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Service providers
Some providers process data on our behalf: our hosting provider, Cloudflare (security, content delivery and the Turnstile spam check), Brevo (sending emails) and Google Workspace (our mailboxes). Some of them may process data outside your country, with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are deleted three years after the last contact, unless they led to an order that commercial or tax law requires us to keep longer. Messages marked as spam are deleted after 30 days. Visitor statistics are deleted after thirteen months. If you ask us to email you a shipment plan, we keep the plan for 90 days and store your address only as a one-way hash, to limit how many plans one address can receive.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, including under the EU GDPR and Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Write to [email protected] to use these rights.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your inquiry list is kept only in your own browser (local storage) until you send or clear it. The staff area uses one session cookie that it needs to work.
Security
We use encrypted connections, two-factor sign-in for staff and access controls to protect your data.
